Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
It’s a term that is recognized worldwide for the control and management of manufacturing and quality controls of food, pharmaceutical products and medical devices. GMP's are guidelines that outline the aspects of production that would affect the quality of a product.

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
It’s a systematic preventive approach to food safety and pharmaceutical safety that addresses physical, chemical and biological hazards as a means of prevention rather than finish product inspection. It is used in the food industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that take actions, known as "Critical Control Points" (CCP's) can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized.

ISO 9001:2008
It’s intended for use in any organization regardless of size, type or product (including services). It provides a number of requirements which an organization needs to fulfill to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services which meet customer expectations.

Hechsher "Kosher approval"
It’s a special certification found in many products (usually foods) that have been certify as "kosher" (meaning "fit" for consumption). In the Jewish law, the dietary laws of kashrut specify food items that may be eaten and others that are prohibited as set out in the commandments of the Torah, in some countries this certification is mandatory.

Business Alliance for Secure Commerce
It’s a business-customs partnership created to promote safe international trade in cooperation with governments and international organizations. The main goal is to facilitate and promote world trade by establishing and administrating global supply chain security standards and procedures in partnership with business, governments, customs, law enforcements and international business organizations.

EU Organic Farming
Regulation 2092/91 ensures inspections of all food and drinks from countries outside the European Union. The exporter country must attach this certification in order to certify that all the products are "Organic", this means that is free from Genetic Manipulations and the living cycle of the plant was not altered.

Non Genetic Modified Organism (NO-GMO)
It’s an organism whose genetic material has not been altered using genetic engineering techniques. These techniques, generally known as recombinant DNA technology, use DNA molecules from different sources, which are combined into one molecule to create a new set of genes, thus this DNA is then transferred into an organism.
